Privacy and storage
This page describes the current free Property Inspection preview. It explains the application's data handling, including the limits of storing inspection evidence in a browser.
Where your information lives
The application stores inspection drafts, reviewed versions, original photo bytes, captions, annotations and hashes in IndexedDB in your browser profile. A small local-storage setting remembers your light or dark theme. Photo checks and previews run in a local worker. The app does not send inspection contents or images to a server, model service or analytics service.
Opening the site still makes network requests for application files. The hosting provider receives normal request information such as your IP address and browser headers. This site is hosted on Vercel. This page does not describe or promise the provider's own log retention. Links to MacL leave this site.
There is no product account, cloud backup, synchronization or encrypted account vault. Anyone with access to the same browser profile can access its workspace. Device or browser loss, storage clearing, private browsing and quota failures can remove or prevent saves. Export a backup before relying on this device to retain evidence.
Original photos and exports
Original JPEG and PNG bytes are retained unchanged. They may include sensitive camera, location or other metadata. Display copies use reduced-resolution JPEG images; they do not replace the originals. Annotations are separate, and a hash identifies the exact supplied file rather than authenticating its history.
Workspace backups include every inspection, version and retained original. Report JSON includes originals referenced by that report. CSV files include written observations and photo references, names, captions, hashes and annotation labels. Follow-up CSV files contain a narrower list of attention items and coverage gaps. Printed reports contain visible text and display copies of photos. Review an export before sharing it.
Exported files are not encrypted by this application. The app cannot recall files you share, erase copies on other devices or control the storage provider you use for backups. Keep property addresses, personal details and images only as long as you need them.
Delete and recover
To remove an inspection and its reviewed versions, use Delete inspection and confirm. To remove unreferenced originals, use Remove unused photos. Photos still referenced by another draft or version are preserved. Detaching a photo from a draft alone does not erase its original.
To erase this site's entire device workspace, clear its site data in your browser settings. Clear both IndexedDB and local storage if you also want to remove theme preferences. Delete downloaded backups or exports separately. There is no server-side account record to delete or restore.
Backups can restore a workspace after integrity checks and confirmation. Restoration replaces the current workspace. Export your current work first. If saving is unavailable, the app retains the current draft in memory for export until you close or reload the tab.
Public search content
Only static product information, this page and the guide are included in the sitemap. Private inspection records have no public URL and are not included in generated site content or search metadata. Search indexing does not back up or publish your local workspace.
Account login, Google sign-in, hosted collaboration and billing are not available in this preview. Their data handling will need to be documented and verified before those services are released.
Reinspection and comparison copies
Starting a reinspection clears the current draft findings and photo links after confirmation. It retains earlier reviewed versions and any original photo bytes they reference. Comparison text/CSV/JSON contain changed observation details, reviewer records, photo names, hashes, captions and annotations, without original bytes. Printed comparisons also show display copies of linked photos. These outputs can still reveal property and personal information; keep them private and share only with the intended recipient. Full original reports and workspace backups are separate copies.
